Occupational Therapy
Helping Patients Lead An Independent, Satisfying Life

Occupational therapy is a health and rehabilitation service that helps people regain and compensate for skills that are important for independent functioning. Our therapists work with people of all ages who have experienced illness, injury or developmental/psychological impairment. We provide specialized assistance in learning skills to enable patients to lead independent, productive and satisfying lives. While you are recovering, occupational therapy can help you:

  • Learn new ways to manage daily tasks such as eating, dressing and bathing.
  • Obtain special assistive equipment to function more independently.
  • Use and benefit from custom-fabricated splints.
  • Discover ways to increase your physical strength, endurance and mobility.
  • Compensate for losses of sensation, vision or upper extremity function.
  • Develop the skills necessary to return to work, household tasks and community activities.

Occupational TherapyTimely, skilled help from our occupational therapy staff may benefit people experiencing functional physical difficulties arising from:

  • Arthritis
  • Burns
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Fractures
  • Neurological Disorders
  • Peripheral Neuropathy
  • Scoliosis
